Favorite interaction -- playing my bass

I think one of my favorite interactions is playing my bass. Aside from all the usual interactions, necessary for every day life, this interaction is purely aesthetic.
It appeals to me on many levels -- physically, emotionally, aesthetically.
I like the way the string feel and respond to my fingers. I like the smoothness of the neck. I like having it produce sound when I tell it to, and how I tell it to.
Sometimes it gets frustrating -- whenever I can't achieve the sound that I want, or when I skin my fingertips, but it's still nonetheless a very rewarding experience.
